Musical Theatre: Intensive
Want more intense training in singing and acting? Want to learn how to better perform a song? Want to audition and get the role?
This intensive week-long course will give you an invaluable grounding in musical theatre skills-based training. Stuart Landon will enable you to develop your performance abilities and the techniques of working creatively in groups.
During the week you will work on the most exciting and dynamic scenes and numbers from well known and lesser-known musicals. At the end of the course you will showcase your solo and ensemble skills in a final performance in front of an invited audience. Every student will work with an accompanist and with Mr. Landon, and complete the course with at least 2 to 3 polished pieces to use at auditions and cabarets! Friends and family are invited to a reception and show on Saturday, June 28 at 7:30PM. NOTE: Rehearsals with accompanists will be available June 10 – 12 at 7pm

Through goal-oriented games, our youngest performers will learn how to explore, develop, express and communicate ideas. Children have fertile imaginations creative dramatics provides the structure and an actor is born! The elementary actor develops a range of skills through concentration, co-operative play and fun! Friends and family are invited to class on June 28th.

Youth : Adaptation ensemble
This intense class is for the advanced young actor. The goal of this workshop is the achievement of relaxed, free and truthful expression of oneself through literature. Through the use of theatre exercises and improvisation, the students will adapt selections from the work of a famous author into a workshop presentation. Authors under consideration are F. Scott Fitzgerald, Lewis Carroll, John Steinbeck, L. Frank Baum, Mark Twain, and C.S. Lewis. Friends and family are invited to a reception and show on June 28 at 3PM.

Performance Workshop
The goal of the performance workshop is for youth to be more comfortable both onstage and off. They will learn respect, responsibility, and self-awareness. Basic acting techniques and tools, such as warm-ups, will be implemented into the daily schedule to provide the kids with the instruments they will need in the future to be successful in any future acting endeavor. The performers will be encouraged to “run at the edge of the cliff” and to take chances both on stage and in every day life.
Ages: 7 - 16
Dates: July 28 – August 14 Noon – 5pm
Performances: August 15, 16and 17

About the instructors:
STUART LANDON,
TRICHAM ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
With over 15 years experience in the theatre, Stuart has performed in, directed, and produced 50 productions. Stuart holds a BFA from the University of Oklahoma A. Max Weitzenhoffer Department of Musical Theatre, where he performed in or directed many shows, including: CABARET, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, GUYS AND DOLLS, WASTELAND, PROOF, LOVE LETTERS, CHESS, METAMORPHOSES, and AS YOU LIKE IT. Favorite regional acting credits include LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, MY WAY, GODSPELL, BYE BYE BIRDIE, THE SOUND OF MUSIC, WELL, THE WIZARD OF OZ, NUNSENSE A-MEN, FOREVER PLAID and HAIR at Houston’s illustrious Theatre Under the Stars. His New York credits include A CHRISTMAS CAROL, UNSUNG, and LOVE ME.
Stuart was a resident company member at Allenberry Playhouse in Boiling Springs, PA and was seen in LUCKY STIFF, CLUE, INTO THE WOODS, OKLAHOMA!, THE FULL MONTY, and THE ODD COUPLE. He directed the Allenberry productions of STAND BY YOUR MAN: THE TAMMY WYNNETTE STORY, his own adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s famous works, entitled WONDERLAND, and SANTA’S FAVORITE GIFT: An Allenberry Carol. Other Directing Credits include PROOF, WIZARD OF OZ, LAST FIVE YEARS, GODSPELL, THE FANTASTICKS, SECRET GARDEN, LOVE LETTERS, and THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE ABRIDGED.

Daysha Sanford
Daysha is excited to be offering her services to ACE! She has a passion for kids and a long, successful track record working with them. She has taught drama workshops, conducted cheerleading camps, anything that's fun for kids - she has done it. Currently she teaches gymnastics and cheerleading at Northland Christian School, where sheis also thefounderand director of IronKids,their summer day camp.It serves nearly 100 kids a day! One of the biggest joys in her life is helping kids perform and put on a show.

Kristyn Chalker
Kristyn Chalker, a Houston native and second year Acting major at Oklahoma City University, has had vast experience with children’s theatre. She’s done over twenty children’s theatre productions in the Houston area, including The Little Mermaid, Beauty and The Beast, The Hobbit, Babes in Toyland, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. In both her junior and senior years of high school, Kristyn was involved in a production of the show Foxtales that traveled to local Houston elementary schools. In addition to children’s theatre, Kristyn has performed numerous award winning roles including Rizzo in Grease, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Maggie in Dancing at Lughnasa, and Amalia Burg in The Magic Fire for which she received four UIL Best Actress awards. Most recently, she was seen as Kate Barlow in OCU’s mainstage production of Louis Sachar’s Holes. While at college, she is involved in a production company called The Let’s Pretend Players, sanctioned by the Oklahoma Children’s Theatre, that travels all over the state of Oklahoma performing children’s shows to elementary school students.
In her summer production workshop, your children will learn to be more comfortable both onstage and off. They will learn respect, responsibility, and self-awareness. Basic acting techniques and tools, such as warm-ups, will be implemented into the daily schedule to provide the kids with the instruments they will need in the future to be successful in any future acting endeavor. As well as invaluable acting experience, the children will also be introduced to the ins and outs of backstage work: building sets, stage managing, prop responsibility, and proper care of costumes. The performers are encouraged to “run at the edge of the cliff” or to take chances both on stage and in every day life.
